We would like to present You the newspaper of Lithuanian students SAVAS. SAVAS - free newspaper for students, published once in every two weeks in towns where universities or their departments are located. The most of the information in SAVAS concerns the news of academic life and analysis of problems important for students. SAVAS is the only independent students' newspaper not only in Lithuania, but in the all eastern Europe. During the sixteen years of publishing SAVAS became the most widely read among the students' newspapers and information in it reaches the majority of the students. Thus we would like to encourage You to choose SAVAS as a tool for achieving Your own goals. The audience in Lithuania today is more than 100000 students of universities, and more than 10000 students of colleges. SAVAS is regularly read by teachers and administration employees. SAVAS was founded in May of the year 1995. It was published (edition of 3000) as a newspaper for students of the town Kaunas. Starting January of 1996 the newspaper developed to a paper of all Lithuania's students - it was read by students of Vilnius and Kaunas. Currently the edition is 10200; it is circulated in biggest towns which have universities or their departments. The need for our newspaper is larger than currently is offered - the whole edition is taken by students during the first day of publishing. Information in the newspaper is divided to six parts: one presents the most actual events in universities during the last two weeks; the second gives the opinion of students - interviews with them or their letters. Others present the students' cultural life, their experiences from foreign countries, humor and offers for the leisure time. All information in SAVAS is in one way or another related to students and academic society.
